Apple has released updaters that will allow you to upgrade from ARA version 2.0.x to version 2.1. These updates provide bug fixes and improve compatibility with Open Transport.

Who Should Upgrade?

If you have Apple Remote Access Client or Personal Server version 2.0 or 2.0.1 installed, you should upgrade to version 2.1.

You can check what version of ARA you have installed by looking for a file named "Apple Remote Access", "Apple Remote Access Client", or "Apple Remote Access Personal" in your Extensions folder (inside your System Folder). The version number of this file corresponds to your ARA version.

How Can I Get the Update?

There are two versions of ARA 2.0.x: ARA Client, and ARA Personal Server. If you have ARA Client installed, then you will need ARA Client 2.1 Update If you have ARA Personal Server installed, then you will need ARA Personal Server 2.1 Update. Both updates are available from the CIT Mac Software Server; each requires one high-density diskette.

These will update an already-installed copy of ARA Client 2.1 or ARA Personal Server 2.1. Installation instructions are included on the diskette.
