To keep pace with the need for IP addresses on the ehpnet subnet, the IP network range for that subnet will be expanded on November 1 2005.
ehpnet is the subnet to which OIT Ethernet Service is connected in the following buildings: 1879 Hall, Aaron Burr Hall, the Chapel, Dickinson Hall, Marx Hall, McCosh Hall, 179 Nassau St., 185 Nassau St., 201 Nassau St., and 41 William St. (except for PU Press connections). (This list of buildings wired to ehpnet is accurate as of October 13 2005.)
During 5:00am-7:00am November 1 2005, network service will be unavailable on ehpnet.
For existing devices attached to ehpnet:
This will cause them to learn the new IP subnet mask.
If the device is not rebooted, it may not function correctly on the network.
If the device is not reconfigured and rebooted, it may not function correctly on the network.
