As of August 4 2005, OIT Remote Access Services (dial-in services) will no longer provide AppleTalk over PPP, nor will it provide Apple Remote Access (ARA).
Neither protocol is supported by any operating system software OIT currently supports. The last operating system OIT supported able to speak either protocol was supplanted years ago.
Additionally, dial-in access to AppleTalk is no longer useful, as on August 4 2005, OIT will discontinue routing AppleTalk on campus.
