Host Database: Delete Entry

This form will allow you to delete an entry that is already in the Host Database. (Except for entries associated with Dormnet subscriptions.)

Specify below the complete name of the entry you would like to delete. For example, if you want to delete "foo.princeton.edu", enter "foo" in the text box, and select "princeton.edu" in the pop-up menu. If you want to delete "foo.bar.princeton.edu", enter "foo.bar" in the text box, and select "princeton.edu" in the pop-up menu.

Once you've specified the entry you would like to delete, click the Delete Entry button.

Assuming the entry you specified exists, you will be prompted for a name and password. (You are only prompted the first time you use the Host Database from this Web browser session, so when you are done, be sure to quit from the Web browser!) Enter your OIT LDAP Directory netid and password. To be allowed to delete a particular entry in the Host Database, your OIT netid and password must be valid, and the netid must match one of the Technical Contacts, Departmental Contacts, or Financial Contacts for that Host Database entry.
